Weekend Hike in Springs

Thu, 01/02/2025 - 10:20

Rick Whalen of the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society will lead a hike at a moderate pace through the woods and fields of the former Talmage Farm in northern Springs on Saturday. The approximately four-mile path goes from Three Mile Harbor Road to Accabonac Creek and includes the Nancy Kelley Preserve and the Nature Conservancy's Merrill Lake Sanctuary.

The meeting place is the east side of Three Mile Harbor Road, about 100 yards north of Maidstone Market at the corner of Flaggy Hole Road, at 10 a.m. Participants should take liquids and snacks and wear waterproof shoes, as the group may encounter wet ground. Mr. Whalen can be reached at [email protected] for additional information.
