Dog moms and dads, there's just enough time to get your furry best friends ready for their close up at sixth annual Hamptons Dog Show on Saturday, Aug. 3, at the American Legion in Amagansett.

Hosted by the East Hampton Lions Club, the show raises money for the Guide Dog Foundation of Long Island, scholarships for local students, and vision care for families in need. It runs from 4 to 7 p.m.

Dogs can compete in categories for unique breeds and features, best trick, best dressed, and dog-and-owner lookalikes, as well as handling awards for youth and adults. Last year’s show drew more than 40 competitors, attracted 300 spectators, and raised $12,000 for charity.

The cost is $40 per canine entrant, and the entry fee for spectators is $10 (free for children 10 and under). The link to sign up is here.
