Festive Fun in Amagansett

Fri, 12/06/2024 - 10:20

The next two weekends promise festive fun in Amagansett, with events at Amagansett Square, the Life-Saving and Coast Guard Station Museum, and the firehouse.

The Amagansett Life-Saving and Coast Guard Station Museum, in partnership with the Kiwanis Club of East Hampton, will host a Christmas tree-lighting celebration this Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. Hot cider and cookies will be served, and there will be live music and activities for kids. The tree will be lighted promptly at 5:45. Also, the Kiwanis Club's Toys for Tots drive will be there accepting new, unwrapped children's toys. The museum is at 160 Atlantic Avenue.

The Jenni Kayne clothing boutique in Amagansett Square is offering complimentary s'mores kits to guests during holiday shopping on Saturday.

Also in Amagansett Square, on Saturday, Dec. 14, there will be caroling by Amagansett School students, treats provided by the Reform Club, arts and crafts at the Pink Chicken store and Meeting House restaurant porch, and a visit from Santa Claus. The fun happens from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Amagansett Village Improvement Society will host its annual community holiday party on Sunday, Dec. 15, at the Amagansett Fire House from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Santa will arrive by fire truck, and he and Mrs. Claus will distribute filled stockings to children in attendance. The large Christmas tree by the firehouse will be illuminated at dusk. Refreshments will be served and there will be music by the Ukeladies.
