It's Time to Pay Property Taxes

First-half property taxes are due without penalty by Jan. 10, according to a reminder posted on the East Hampton Town website.

Tax bills for 2024-25 are now available online, with hard copies mailed to homeowners on Monday. Residents can view their tax bill by going to egov.ehamptonny.gov, a link that can also be found via the town website.

Other documents, such as the change-of-address form, Suffolk County taxpayer information, and the property tax roll, can also be found on the town website. Questions can be directed to the town tax receiver's office at 631-324-2770.

Call ‘Flesh Eating’ Alarmist

The Vibrio vulnificus “flesh eating” bacterium “is not unusual in warm saltwater or brackish environments and does not necessarily indicate pollution or a widespread public health emergency,” the Southampton Town Trustees said in an advisory issued following a social media post that went viral.
