Whiskey Bravo, a youth group that supports active-duty military personnel with service projects, is teaming up with the American Legion Post 419 Auxiliary to collect items for care packages this holiday season. Donations of snacks such as Oreo cookies and gummy bears, necessities like new socks, and small gift items like games and decks of cards are sought. They can be dropped off at the bar of the legion hall, at 15 Montauk Highway in Amagansett, after 3 p.m. daily up through Dec. 14.

Also at the American Legion, ticket sales are ongoing for its Christmas Spectacular raffle. The prizes include $5,000 cash for first place, $1,500 for second place, and $1,000 for third place. Tickets cost $20 and can be purchased from members of Sons of the American Legion, which will draw the winners' names on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
