Child Safety the Focus for Project Most

Project Most, the East Hampton nonprofit that provides after-school programs, weekend activities, tutoring, and child care services, is offering free child identification card services on Saturday at its Family Fun and Safety Day.

From 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Most Holy Trinity School on Meadow Way, there will be food, music, arts and crafts, science activities, and comic book giveaways to go with free services from the EZ Child ID System. This program entails digital fingerprinting and photographs for ID cards that can help protect children in case of an emergency. "All information is confidential and nothing is retained after the card is made," the organization noted in an announcement.

Registration ahead of time is not required. More information can be found online at projectmost.org.

L.I.R.R. service will increase significantly for the U.S. Open, slated to begin at Shinnecock Hills on Monday and run through June 21, with a newly constructed train stop at the college seeing an additional seven to eight trains per day.
