With the official arrival of spring comes the opportunity to revive your garden, and two local libraries are on board to help.

The East Hampton Library's "seed library" reopens on Tuesday with a first-come, first-served selection of organic vegetable and flower seeds. Choices will include tomatoes, sunflowers, and basil. Patrons who stop by on Tuesday will receive a garden gift. There will be raffle prizes as well.

On Saturday, the Amagansett Library will also introduce a seed library with flower, vegetable, and herb seeds available. Heather Meehan, the farm educator at Amber Waves, will offer tips on planning your garden, "even if it's just a few containers." The drop-in event is from 1 to 3 p.m. and is suitable for all ages, the library says.
