On Monday, Calvary Baptist Church in East Hampton aired a recording of its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day ceremony on YouTube to honor the late Baptist minister and civil rights activist.

Amanda Hayes leads the service as emcee. Sister Linda Blowe offers introductory remarks, saying Mr. King "lived a life filled with service, compassion, dignity, humility, and courage, and the constant pursuit of truth and justice."

The ceremony includes a performance of the hymn "Lift Every Voice and Sing," which is also known as the Black national anthem, along with spiritual readings and remarks by Gregory S. Parks, an author and M.L.K. scholar, and the Rev. Walter Silva Thompson.
