It's not too cold outside for a hike, right?

Montauk Point State Park naturalists will lead a three-mile hike on Sunday at 9 a.m. Hikers will meet at the park office in the lower parking area at the Lighthouse. Space is limited and reservations are required. The cost is $4 per person, children 3 and under are free. Registration is by searching "seal walks" at eventbrite.com or by calling 631-668-5000, extension 0.

Eva Moore of the East Hampton Trails Preservation Society will lead a two-mile hike on the seal haul-out trail on Wednesday, Dec. 29, at 10 a.m. to see seals on some of their favorite rocks. Hikers should be dressed appropriately and take binoculars if they have them. The meeting place is Camp Hero Road. Ms. Moore can be reached at 631-238-5134 or 631-681-4774 on the day of the hike.

Looking ahead to New Year's Day, Rick Whalen will lead an eight-mile trek in Hither Woods, departing from the overlook parking lot at 10 a.m. He can be reached for more details at 631-275-8539 or [email protected].
