A Film and Discussion About Domestic Violence

The Retreat, a shelter for domestic violence victims, and Sag Harbor Cinema will hold a panel discussion about domestic abuse at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Panelists will include Minerva Perez, executive director of OLA of Eastern Long Island, Helen Atkinson-Barnes, prevention education director at the Retreat, and Nicole Behrens, an advocate and domestic violence survivor.

A showing of "Gaslight," a 1944 George Cukor film about emotional abuse in the form of a husband slowly driving his wife insane, will follow at 7. The discussion is free, and film tickets are $15 on the cinema's website.

Attendees must provide proof of a Covid-19 vaccination and wear a mask.

Countdown to the Three Mile Harbor Fireworks

The Clamshell Foundation's Great Bonac Fireworks Show over Three Mile Harbor is scheduled for Saturday at 9 p.m. with a rain date of Sunday. Because of the increase in boat traffic expected, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation has announced the closure of Three Mile Harbor to shellfishing starting at sunrise on Saturday.
