It's time to pick out your pumpkin and break out the carving tools — the Bridgehampton Lions Club's annual Halloween pumpkin-carving contest is back.

On Monday at 5 p.m., participants of all ages can take their creations to the Bridgehampton Community House for a spirited display and competitive judging.

There are several new contest categories this year, including See No Evil, Alice in Pumpkinland, Horseman's Head, and Orange You Glad. There are also all-ages freestyle categories and a Master Carver category. Cash prizes are awarded to the winners in each category.

The festivities will also include a puppet show by Liz Joyce of Goat on a Boat Puppet Theatre and cider and doughnuts provided by the Milk Pail.

The website bridgehamptonlions.org has rules and more details.
