Mail-in voter registration forms, which are available at libraries, town and village halls, and post offices, must be received by the Suffolk County Board of Elections by Saturday, Oct. 26; the latest they can be postmarked is Monday, Oct. 21.

The Suffolk County Board of Elections office in Yaphank and the Department of Motor Vehicles in Riverhead are the places to register to vote in person. Absentee ballot applications can be delivered in person to the Board of Elections in Yaphank as late as Nov. 4 in advance of the Nov. 5 election.

Once absentee ballots are acquired, voter can mail them in as late as Election Day. The board of elections will continue to count them up to seven days after Election Day, as long as they are postmarked on or before Election Day, according to vote.org.

Saturday, Oct. 26, marks the beginning of early voting, which will be offered in East Hampton at Windmill Village on Accabonac Road and in Southampton at the Stony Brook Southampton campus at 39 Tuckahoe Road. Early voting hours will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 26, 27, and 28; 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 29 and 30; noon to 8 p.m. on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Nov. 2 and 3.
