Wainscott Main Wine and Spirits has announced an in-store wine tasting with Roman Roth, the winemaker and partner at Wolffer Estate Vineyard, on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m.
Mr. Roth will pour a curated selection of his wines and share insights from his decades-long career making world-class wines on the East End. His wines have earned international acclaim and helped put Long Island winemaking on the global map.
The tasting, for ages 21 and older, is free, and reservations are not necessary.
The Star's Alison Morris Roslyn, a Level 3 sommelier, checked out a New York tasting hosted by the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux and discovered many exceptional wines at welcoming prices.
