Artists and Writers Dinner

Almond restaurant in Bridgehampton will continue its series of Artists and Writers dinners on Monday at 6 with Brianna L. Hernández. A three-course family style meal will be served with one glass of wine or draft beer for $55, plus tax and gratuity.

Ms. Hernandez is a Chicana artist, curator, educator, and death doula guided by socially engaged practices. In the studio, she creates multimedia installations focused on end-of-life care, grief, and mourning rituals based on lived experience, cultural research, and collaborations with peers including death education workshops.

She is currently director of curation and board secretary at Ma’s House & BIPOC Art Studio on the Shinnecock Reservation in Southampton.

Happy Hour at Lulu Kitchen

Lulu Kitchen and Bar in Sag Harbor is offering happy hour at the bar and in the dining room during lunch Monday through Friday from noon to 3:30 and during dinner every day from 5 to 6:45. Happy hour specials feature 25 percent off the wine list and all bar offerings.

Among the menu options are blistered shishito peppers, raclette croquette, grilled flatbread, mussels a la plancha, and wood-fire grilled octopus skewer. The cocktails, whose names give only hints of their ingredients, include You Are Lulu, Smoke ‘n’ Fire, La Coupole, Sacred Mayan, and Why Not Rye.
