Doughnuts and other enticing edibles will be featured at the annual Katy's Courage Love Bites benefit.

Bites for a Cause
Katy's Courage will hold its annual Love Bites event on March 12 at the Clubhouse in East Hampton.

Love Bites offers unlimited samples of dishes by popular East End chefs and eateries along with specialty drinks, wine, and beer. Music will be provided by D.J. Michael from East End Entertainment. A silent auction and golfers dream raffle round out the festivities.

Katy's Courage is a nonprofit that honors Katy Stewart, who died from pediatric liver cancer. Its mission is to support education, children's bereavement, and pediatric cancer research.

Those cooking up a tasting storm are Events by Peter Ambrose, Bostwick's Clambakes and Catering, Golden Pear Cafe, Dreesen's Donuts, Jerri's Cakery and Confections, Art of Eating, Bamboo Restaurant and Sushi Bar of Southampton, Hampton Coffee Company, Bell and Anchor, Grace and Grits Events, Pig Beach BBQ, Silver Spoon Specialties, South Fork Bakery, and Union Sushi and Steak.

Tickets are $100 for one and $150 for two and can be purchased on the Katy's Courage website. The event lasts from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The organization's skate-a-thon will be held this weekend at the Buckskill Winter Club.

Open and Shut Cases
Serafina in East Hampton is open every day except Monday from 5 p.m. Known for ingredients such as prosciutto, burrata, and superfine flour for its dough, the restaurant serves classic Italian specialties and thin crust pizza.

Highway Restaurant and Bar in East Hampton will reopen on Wednesday after its winter break. 

Winter Specials
MTK Lobster House in Sag Harbor has a new winter prix fixe menu. Served from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday through Sunday, the $45 three-course menu offers lobster bisque, oysters Rockefeller, or dumplings as an appetizer; chicken Milanese, shrimp linguine, pan-roasted cod, or a cold or warm lobster roll as an entree. A choice of a glass of wine or a warm chocolate cake with ice cream rounds out the dinner.

Soup of the Border
Tortilla soup is the featured soup this week at Sagaponack's Loaves and Fishes. The recipe is part of the store's monthly cookbook series, included in January, which features some of the store favorites. Both soup and cookbook are available at the store. The cookbook series can also be purchased on the store's website.

 

A Chowder Extravaganza for Springs Food Pantry

The Springs Food Pantry’s annual Chowdah Chowdown fund-raiser will return to the Springs Tavern and Grill on Saturday afternoon with all-you-can-eat chowder and soup from local chefs, live music by Josh Brussell, a mocktail bar, and a 50-50 raffle with a cash prize.
