Watermill Center

Watermill Center Open House

Everyone in the family could find something to do at the Watermill Center’s open house on Saturday, in an afternoon filled with live performances, art making, and hands-on workshops. For families, there will be a wet felting workshop with Shirin Abedinirad, an artist, and sculpture workshops inspired by the works in the center’s vast collection.

Saturday will also be the final day to see “Upside Down Zebra,” an exhibition featuring work by 40 contemporary artists alongside 900 artworks by children. Keioui Keijaun Thomas, Baye & Asa, and Ceylan Oztruk, artists in residence, will perform throughout the open house, which runs from 2 to 4 p.m. Plus there will be free ice cream, wine, and coffee. Admission is free. The center asks families to reserve their spots at bit.ly/42ZfaeP.

Long Island Pollinators

ReWild Long Island will be at the East Hampton Historical Farm Museum on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon to teach kids 4 to 10 about the Island’s native and visiting moths, butterflies, and pollinators. After an introduction, participants will be given magnifying glasses to explore Matthew’s Pollinator Garden on the museum grounds.

Reservations are required with Patty Sales at 516-458-3978. There will be space for just 15 kids.
