The second annual Spooky-Palooza, a week of family-friendly Halloween-themed activities in Sag Harbor, will begin this weekend.
Festivities will follow the village’s annual Ragamuffin Parade on Main Street, which will take off from Nassau Street at 1 p.m. and end in a celebration on the lawn of Custom House featuring games, activities, and dance music.
The Church will host a “spooky creativity lab” from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, during which participants will be able to create sugar skull pen holders, frames for Frankenstein portraits, and glow-in-the-dark characters. All materials will be provided.
Bay Street Theater will then hold a Frankenstein Red Carpet Dance Party with Scary-oke on Friday, Oct. 31, from 4 p.m. to 6, which will include a photo-op with Frankenstein, singing, dancing, and a fully stocked “spooky sauce” bar for parents.
The week will conclude with special matinee screenings of the 2006 animated film “Monster House” at Sag Harbor Cinema, beginning at 11 a.m. on both Saturday, Nov. 1, and Sunday, Nov. 2. A free container of popcorn is included with admission.
A Spookypalooza pass is available for $30 on the Sag Harbor Cinema website and includes admission to the creativity lab, dance party, and one of the film screenings, as well as a 25-percent discount at Cluckman’s and a 10-percent discount at Page, valid all week. Individual tickets for each event are also available for $15, but do not include the restaurant discounts.
