Halloween at CMEE
This weekend is all about Halloween at the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton, with a bash for families with children ages 2 to 8 tomorrow and another for families with babies 2 to 16 months on Wednesday. At tomorrow’s party, there will be crafts, games, and a costume contest with prizes. The cost is $25, or $5 for members.
For Wednesday’s affair, costumes are encouraged, and there will be singing, dancing, and a chance to make a keepsake craft. It is free for members, $20 for everyone else. Advance registration is suggested for either party, as space is limited.
Parties in East Hampton
The East Hampton Library’s Halloween celebration will happen on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., when there will be activities for kids of all ages and a chance for older kids to help out for community service credits. Ahead of the celebration, high school students can decorate trick-or-treat bags tomorrow at 3:30 and earn one and a half hours of community service in the process.
Other fun for high schoolers this week includes a chance to sample snacks from Mexico in the Universal Yums gathering on Monday at 4 p.m., a dropin skeleton-decorating program on Tuesday at 3:30, and pizza and a screening of “Halloweentown” next Thursday at 5. For grades six through eight, the Universal Yums tasting is tomorrow at 3:45.
A jack-o’-lantern and mice story time and craft for ages 3 to 6 is on the schedule for Wednesday at 4 p.m., and for ages 7 to 11 it’ll be salami eyeballs and Ritz Cracker spiders next Thursday at 4. Most programs require advance registration.
Over at the East Hampton Historical Farm Museum, there will be Halloween crafts and games, including pumpkin painting, on Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
Frankentoys and More
In Sag Harbor, the John Jermain Memorial Library will have an afterhours teen social with a Halloween theme of “Can You Survive a Slasher?” tomorrow night from 6:30 to 8:30. Eek!

Tweens will take on a similar challenge on Wednesday afternoon at 4 when they turn old toys into Frankentoys. The library’s Monster Mash for families will be next Thursday at 4.
