Can You Solve the Mystery?

Attention, teenage sleuths — the John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor has a mystery to solve, and it needs your help to do so.

Participants can pick up a “cold-case file” on Saturday to join in the fun of digging for clues and searching for answers. Anyone who remembers the TV series “Veronica Mars” will appreciate the “take and play” game, the library says.

Also for teens, the library is offering Y.A. book boxes filled with goodies to go with a book selection that young patrons can keep for themselves. October’s book, in keeping with the theme of spooky and mysterious fun, is “Our Shadows Have Claws,” an anthology of short Latin American horror stories edited by Yamile Saied Mendez. Supplies are limited and sign-up is online at johnjermain.org.

The International Snack Club, another J.J.M.L. program for Sag Harbor teens, meets Tuesday at 4 p.m. to enjoy treats from around the world. At 4:30, the teen writing cafe takes place. Looking ahead to Friday, Oct. 7, young adults can craft their hearts out at from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. More program details and registration links are on the library’s website.
