Big Honors at the Teeny Awards

The winners of East End Arts's annual Teeny Awards were announced on Sunday.

The nonprofit organization East End Arts presented the annual Teeny Awards on Sunday to students named outstanding performers in school plays and musicals, including four from the South Fork.

Dakota Quackenbush of East Hampton High School won for best supporting female in a musical. She played Rusty in "Footloose." Anika Petruccelli, who was also nominated in the outstanding student choreography category, took home a Teeny Award for playing Wendy Jo in "Footloose." She tied with Cheyanne Metzger from Riverhead in the latter category.

From Pierson High School, Zoe Richardson earned a Teeny for best lead female in a play, for the role of Trish in "One Stoplight Town" at Pierson. She tied with Samantha Cavorti of Longwood High School for the award. A fellow Pierson student, Everett McMahon, won supporting male in a play for the role of Melvin in "One Stoplight Town."
