Covid-Era College Admissions

Covid has changed the college admissions landscape. In a virtual program on Wednesday through the John Jermain Memorial Library in Sag Harbor, college admissions counselors with Stand Out for College will explain to parents and high school freshman, sophomores, and juniors how these changes affect them. Ron Feuchs and Jackie Tepper will talk about the importance of researching schools and why college visits are important, and offer a timeline of steps to be taken in the months and years leading up to applying for college.

The presenters promise to “examine the holistic admissions review process, what admissions officers consider important when they review applicants, and how students can position themselves to develop a compelling narrative to increase their chances for admission.” The program begins at 8 p.m. A Zoom link will be sent out after participants register on the John Jermain website.
