The Insight Sunday series at The Church in Sag Harbor will welcome Stella Sands, a true-crime and mystery author, on Sunday at noon. Sands, who lives on North Haven, will illuminate the genesis of stories, the development of characters, and the differences between telling a true story and creating a fictional one.
Her true-crime titles are “Baby-Faced Butchers,” “The Dating Game Killer,” “Behind the Mask,” “Murder at Yale,” “Wealthy Men Only,” and “The Good Son.” In August she came out with “Codebreakers,” the second volume in her “Wordhunter” mystery series. She has appeared on such television shows as ABC’s “20/20” and the Investigation Discovery series “People Magazine Investigates.”
Tickets are $10, free for members, who are required to R.S.V.P.
