South Fork Poetry: ‘All-Star Break’

Thu, 07/08/2021 - 08:30

Much to the chagrin of a faculty of teachers
A rascal of boys preferred visiting the bleachers
All fans enjoy a mischief of hot dogs on buns
Including a superfluidity of cheering nuns

You can learn a lot from a school of Marlins
A streak of Tigers would make them darlins
A scold of Bluejays love the rough-and-tumble
A mass of Padres should pray to be humble

A litter of Cubs play in the day not the night
A swarm of Gnats are annoying but never bite
A pitch of Orioles are finding it hard to win
In St. Louis, a vatican of Cardinals never sin
