Groove Kings Coming
Student Body will take the stage at the Stephen Talkhouse in Amagansett tomorrow at 7 p.m. for $20, followed by Rubix Kube at 11 for $40. On Saturday it's the blues-rock guitarist Andy Aledort and the Groove Kings at 7 p.m., followed by LHT at 10, each for $40. East Hampton Town Justice Steven Tekulsky and his All Vaccinated Band will play on Sunday at 8 p.m. Admission is $20.

Sturdy Souls 
Kate Usher and the Sturdy Souls will perform at the Surf Lodge in Montauk on Monday, and every Monday this summer, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Gene Casey at Clubhouse 
Gene Casey and the Lone Sharks play on the lawn at the Clubhouse in East Hampton tonight and every Thursday from 6 to 9. Tomorrow and every Friday is jazz night, also on the lawn. There's live music on Saturday, and every Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m. brings the reggae of Winston Irie and Friends.

The Fabulous Fabricius 
The Jam Session Radio Hour, airing on 88.3 WLIW-FM on Sunday from 8 to 9 p.m., will feature an interview with Martin Fabricius, a Danish vibraphonist who will appear in the just-announced Hampton Jazz Fest this summer. The festival is covered elsewhere in the arts section this week.

The Sweet Smell of Nostalgia at Sagaponack General

Stepping into the new Sagaponack General Store, which reopened yesterday after being closed since 2020, is a sweet experience, and not just because there’s a soft-serve ice cream station on the left and what promises to be the biggest penny candy selection on the South Fork on your right, but because it’s like seeing an old friend who, after some struggle, made it big. Really, really big.
