An Uber driver whose license had been suspended or revoked 45 times was arrested while driving in Montauk on Saturday, East Hampton Town police said. They stopped Arman Belassarov, 31, of Cliffside, N.J., in a 2014 Toyota with New Jersey license plates as he was eastbound on Montauk Highway near South Embassy Drive, at about 2:40 a.m.

Mr. Belassarov had two years’ worth of suspensions or revocations. He was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the first degree due to having more than 10 suspensions, imposed on 10 separate days, for failure to answer summonses, appear in court, or pay a fine. His license had been suspended or revoked in Manhattan, Queens, and Kings Counties between August 2017 and April 2019.

East Hampton Town Justice Lisa R. Rana released him on $2,000 bail.
