The third annual Airing of the Quilts will take place on Saturday from noon to 5 at the Arts Center at Duck Creek (Sunday if it rains). Organized by Louise Eastman and Erica-Lynn Huberty, this year’s display is a tribute to the log cabin quilt, long a symbol of refuge and belonging.

Those interested in participating have been asked to drop off their quilts between 9 and 11 a.m. and retrieve them by 5 p.m.; they should be tagged with the exhibitor’s name, phone number, and email address. Quilters have been invited to create a 15 1/2-inch log cabin quilt square that will become part of a community quilt. It should include a 3 1/2inch red center square; the surrounding strips can be any color, pattern, or style. The size and the red center are the only requirements.
