The Animal Rescue Fund's Stroll to the Sea fund-raiser, the annual two-mile dog walk from Mulford Farm to Main Beach and back, will take place Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

Isaac Mizrahi, the fashion designer, entertainer, and longtime ARF supporter, will return to M.C. the event, and has also created an original artwork for its T-shirts, as he has done each year since 2011.

"It is just the best day in the whole world," Mr. Mizrahi said in a video posted to the ARF Instagram page on Wednesday. He also promised "an intensely intense amount of cute dogs and cats -- and people, too. Probably really cute people."

The gates will open at 9 a.m., and pre-walk festivities, including contests and an awards presentation, will begin onstage at 9:45. Participants (and pets) will set off on the walk at 11.

ARF is also running a silent auction, which is now live on its website and features a variety of items and experiences, including a photoshoot with the "Saturday Night Live" photographer Mary Ellen Matthews. The auction will close at 11:45 a.m. on the day of the walk.

Each person registered will receive a T-shirt, a tote bag, and a dog bib, and additional prizes will be awarded based on the amount of money raised. Over 520 people have already registered, and funds can be raised until midnight the night before the walk.
