Lightcap and Jones Are Engaged

Ed and Grace Lightcap of Montauk have announced the engagement of their oldest son, Dustin, to Alison Jones, the daughter of Bill and Kathy Jones of Murfreesboro, Tenn.     

Mr. Lightcap is a graduate of East Hampton High School and New York University. He works for James Walsh Land Surveyor in Montauk and is the captain of the Montauk Fire Department’s ambulance company.   

Ms. Jones attended Rhodes College in Memphis and graduated from the Parsons School of Design at the New School in Brooklyn. She owns Peddler Interiors and Gifts in Murfreesboro.     

The couple became engaged on Feb. 8. Wedding plans are in the works.

Pre-Parade Parties on Tap in Montauk

Montauk’s 64th annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade, happening at noon on March 29, is free to all. Two popular pre-parade events are likely to sell out, however, so those interested have been advised to secure tickets.

Stranded in Spain With an Ugly Diagnosis

Jennifer DiPretoro experienced coughing fits while on vacation in Madrid. A pulmonologist there told her she had lung cancer, and her low oxygen levels prevented her from flying home. She is now stranded with no health insurance.
