Frank Mendolia of West Babylon, 30, was charged with misdemeanor third-degree assault on Friday morning following a car accident on Pantigo Road at the intersection of Methodist Lane, where the road forks. Following the collision, Mr. Mendolia exited his 2016 Nissan and began to argue with a passenger in the other vehicle, a 2006 Volvo septic truck driven by Victor DePietro of Amagansett. Mr. Mendolia allegedly shoved the man to the ground, resulting in a broken right wrist.

Mr. DePietro told East Hampton Village police that Mr. Mendolia was trying to pass him on the right shoulder when the accident occurred; Mr. Mendolia said he was trying to merge into traffic when Mr. Pietro’s truck hit his car. The victim was transported to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital for treatment, while Mr. Mendolia was arrested on nearby Egypt Lane. He was given an appearance ticket to be in East Hampton Justice Court on Aug. 31.

Rachel Sinenberg of Sea Cliff, 31, was charged on the evening of Aug. 12 with prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage to a minor, a misdemeanor, after allegedly selling two bottles of Corona to an underage customer at the Hideaway, a bar on West Lake Drive in Montauk. The customer did not possess or produce any identification, according to town police.

Another misdemeanor for the prohibited sale of an alcoholic beverage was issued on the night of Aug. 12 when Richard Aguirre of Houston, 48, reportedly sold two Turkish Mule cocktails to an underage person who failed to produce identification at Mars and El Turco, a bar and nightclub at 44 Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton.

Volunteers Answer the Call of Duty
