George Miller, 50, of Amagansett, was southbound on Springs-Fireplace Road in Springs in a 2002 Chevy pickup at dusk on Jan. 24 when a northbound Nissan Suburban turned left in front of him into Cedar Ridge Drive. Mr. Miller was unable to stop his 2002 Chevy pickup in time to avoid hitting the Nissan.

Its driver, Tannya Uzhcanamina of East Hampton, 28, had two passengers in the car, one of whom, 18-year-old Nataly Uzhca, was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital complaining of lower leg pain. Both of the Nissan’s airbags deployed in the collision.

Mr. Miller’s vehicle was towed by Fireplace Auto, Ms. Uzhcanamina’s by Rapid Recovery.
