Arrest After Alleged Offer of Cash for Teen's Photos

East Hampton Town police charged Cody Theuret, 34, of Springs on Aug. 14 with endangerment of a child under the age of 17. On the morning of Aug. 4, according to a redacted report, he used an app to chat with a 14-year-old girl, offering to pay her $305 in exchange for nude photographs, and tried to arrange to meet her in person.

The 14-year-old went to police and made a statement, leading to Mr. Theuret's arrest. He appeared before Town Justice Steven Tekulsky that afternoon and was released on his own recognizance to await a future court date.

Police filed the same misdemeanor charge in Montauk last Thursday, at 444 West Lake Drive, against Fadil Xani of Southampton, 44, who they said had hit and kicked a 14-year-old multiple times in the face, stomach, lower back, and buttocks. He was additionally charged with harassment, a violation, and was held overnight for a morning appearance before Justice Tekulsky.

Also last Thursday, Wilson Valladolid, 40, of Springs was charged with a misdemeanor for leaving the scene of an accident involving  personal injury. Police said that at about 6 that evening, on Oakview Highway near Three Mile Harbor Road, he had driven his 2015 Toyota into a postal service vehicle and fled. The victim sustained pain to his back, neck, and right knee, which required medical treatment at Southampton Hospital.

One member of a group of motorcyclists “speeding and riding erratically,” according to East Hampton Village police, was left injured Sunday afternoon after he hit the rear of a car stopped on Main Street.
