Twice in One Day

Thu, 12/17/2020 - 10:40

Manuel Tenen-guanga of Southampton, 30, was arrested twice last Thursday. At 1 that morning, at a Church Lane house in Springs, he allegedly struck a woman who, according to East Hampton Town police, holds a restraining order against him, "with an open hand on the right side of the face, causing pain and swelling."

He appeared in Town Justice Court later that morning before Justice Steven Tekulsky on a charge of first-degree criminal contempt, and was released on his own recognizance with a future date in court. At 6:30 p.m., however, he was arrested again, this time by East Hampton Village police, who reported that Mr. Tenen-guanga had texted the woman, whom police did not identify, and gone to her place of work. He was taken into custody in the Schenck parking lot and arraigned the next day. This time bail was set, at $3,100.

A man draining his pool at a North Main Street house Friday morning told police he was doing it to replace the pool liner, but was cited for violating village code, as the water ran into the road. He will appear in Justice Court on Dec. 21.

Three drivers were charged this week in Sag Harbor for suspended registration. Ivan Bermeo Buestan will appear in Sag Village court on Tuesday; Nervo Moralesquintanll and Francesco Longo will be arraigned there next Thursday.
