Jean Lindgren, a former nursery school teacher, carpenter, and caterer who went on to be co-executive director of the Hampton Classic Horse Show in Bridgehampton and a traveling horse show secretary, died of heart disease at Peconic Bay Medical Center in Riverhead on May 27. A Sagaponack resident, she was 85.
A celebration of her life is planned for Aug. 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Long Beach in Noyac. A full obituary will appear in a future issue.
