It's Time for the Montauk Seafood Festival

The Montauk Seafood Festival returns on Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. on the downtown green, sponsored by the Montauk Friends of Erin and the Kiwanis Club of East Hampton.

Around 10 restaurants and vendors are scheduled to participate, of- fering all manner of seafood as well as burgers and hot dogs, roasted corn, French fries, ice cream and other treats, and beer, wine, and soft drinks.

There will be live music and chil- dren’s games, tattoos and face-painting, an ocean exploration table, and other family-friendly activities. Admission is $5, and only cash will be accepted. Dogs will not be permitted under the tent.

Progress on Springs General Store

Construction fences were placed around the Springs General Store last week, and Daniel Bennett, co-owner of Springs General Real Estate, confirmed that he had applied for a building permit and was hopeful work could begin soon, with a possible opening in 2027.
