St. Luke’s Episcopal Church’s annual summer family fair — a tradition since 1886 — will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the church grounds on James Lane.

The day will include circus acts, face painting, art workshops, pony rides, a petting zoo, a water slide, a magic show, art workshops, and performances by the Goat on a Boat Puppet Theater. Entertainment will also be provided by Keith Leaf the Fire Juggler, Wendy the Pipe Cleaner Design Lady, the band the Popsicles, and Alexo the Magician.

Hamburgers and hot dogs will be available, as will clams on the half shell, mini waffles, chowder, sweets, and Mister Softee ice cream.

For adults, the fair will have tables with furs, gowns, jewelry, and collectibles, as well as a silent auction with online bidding available ahead of time at bit.ly/45Q6tnM. The church will offer a chance to see and buy the jewelry and collectibles the day before the fair at 3:30 p.m.

The fair raises money to help the church support an array of charities here, with a portion of proceeds going to local food pantries, Maureen’s Haven, which helps the homeless, and the Retreat, which provides support for victims of domestic violence.
