The Hampton Lifeguard Association’s summer kickoff benefit happens on Saturday from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Clubhouse on Daniel’s Hole Road in Wainscott.

The nonprofit’s mission is to “waterproof Long Island’s South Fork,” which it does by supporting water safety education for all ages as well as lifeguard training and lifeguard competitions for young people and adults.

There is no entry fee Saturday, but there will be opportunities galore to contribute to the association’s good works, including through a 50-50 raffle and chance and silent auctions for gift certificates to local businesses featuring spa treatments, gift baskets, and getaways. Bidding will take place at the Clubhouse, but can also be done online in advance by clicking here.

During the party, D.J. CK Beats will provide the soundtrack and there will be line-dancing and half-priced golf, arcade games, and bowling (lanes should be booked by Friday at 3 p.m.). Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
