On Paid Parking, Cheap Clothes, Clam Pies, and More

Fri, 09/10/2021 - 09:46

Paid parking regulations in the Reutershan and Schenck lots in East Hampton Village will expire on Wednesday. Three hours of free parking will be allowed in each until the regulations resume in May.

All you need is a dollar and a dream — of swank duds — through Saturday at the Ladies Village Improvement Society Bargain Box dollar sale. The clean-out covers clothing, shoes, handbags, and some accessories. A fresh selection of fall clothes gets hung on the racks on Tuesday.

Clam pies are being sought for the East Hampton Town Trustees' largest clam contest, to be held on Oct. 3 at the organization's Bluff Road, Amagansett, office, which can be called for more information.

Children of all ages have been invited to take their backpacks to the Amagansett Presbyterian Church on Sunday for a blessing as the school year begins. The blessing will take place during the monthly family worship service at 10 a.m., with a special children's message as well as one for grown-ups.
