Two at the Talkhouse

Thu, 03/05/2020 - 10:37

Rock the Retreat, a fund-raiser that was to happen tonight at the Stephen Talkhouse, has been rebranded. A “community jam” featuring the Rum Hill Rockers and bands led by East Hampton Town Supervisor Peter Van Scoyoc and Southampton Town Supervisor Jay Schneiderman will benefit the Retreat, which provides domestic violence and sexual assault services and education. The fund-raiser runs from 7 to 10 p.m. Admission is $10.

Also at the Talkhouse, a town hall-style event with Perry Gershon, an East Hampton resident seeking the Democratic Party’s nomination to challenge Representative Lee Zeldin in the Nov. 3 election, will take place on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Pints With Perry will feature a question-and-answer session with the candidate, who lost to Mr. Zeldin by four percentage points in the 2018 election, followed by a performance by Badlands, which plays the music of Bruce Springsteen.

Those interested in attending have been asked to R.S.V.P. at perrygershon.com/talkhouse.
