Green Light Ahead for Montauk St. Patrick’s Day Parade Festivities

St. Patrick’s Day is on the horizon. The Montauk Friends of Erin’s 17th annual corned beef and cabbage dinner will be held at Shagwong Tavern on March 7 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The cost will be $15 for adults and $10 for children. Todd the Guitar Guy will entertain and there will be raffles and prizes. Tickets can be bought at the door.

Tickets are now on sale for the John Behan annual grand marshal luncheon, honoring this year’s grand marshal of the Friends of Erin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Charlie Morici Sr., and hosted by Jason Behan. The event will be held on March 20 at Gurney’s Star Island Resort and Marina from noon to 4 p.m. Tickets cost $65 and can be purchased by calling Marilyn Behan at 631-848-2368. Tickets will not be sold at the door. 

The annual Friends of Erin gala cocktail party will be held at Gurney’s Star Island Resort and Marina the following day, March 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. There will be live music by Hello Brooklyn, a buffet with traditional Irish fare, and an open bar. Tickets cost $75 per person in advance, and are available at the Montauk Chamber of Commerce, Becker’s Home Center, online at montaukfriendsoferin.org, or from any Friends of Erin member. Tickets will be available at the door for $100 per person.

The Friends of Erin Pot of Gold Raffle tickets are also on sale. Only 350 tickets will be sold at $100 each. First prize is $10,000, second is $1,000, and third and fourth are $500. The drawing will be held at the cocktail party on March 21. Tickets are available at Vinnie and Nick’s Barber Shop in Amagansett, The Point Bar and Grill, Liar’s Saloon, Shagwong Tavern, from Friends of Erin members, or online at montaukfriendsoferin.org.
