Wyclef Jean, a former member of the Fugees who has had a successful and Grammy-winning solo career since 1997 as a rapper, musician, and producer, will kick off this year's Calissa Sounds series on Friday at the Greek restaurant and lounge in Water Mill.
Also part of the weekly series is a performance by Fat Joe, and D.J. sets by Chromeo, Shallou, Bob Moses, Sultan + Shepard, Duke Dumont, and St. Lucia X RAC.
Calissa Sounds will give a portion of proceeds from all performances to the Southampton Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Headstrong, a nonprofit that provides mental health care to veterans and first responders.
Shows will take place under a tent in Calissa's garden regardless of weather. Table reservations for Calissa Sounds can be made on the restaurant's website. Performances begin at 10 p.m.
