East Hampton shops and eateries are teaming up for a Saturday shopping event that the Greater East Hampton Chamber of Commerce is calling Spread the Love. The day will feature discount shopping, giveaways, and treats, and as an added enticement, parking restrictions will be lifted in the downtown lots.
At Ralph Lauren stores 16 percent of sales that day will be donated to the East Hampton Food Pantry, and shoppers will get a complimentary candle with every purchase as well as chocolates and sips of champagne. There will also be storewide sales at Gubbins, Tennis East, Nili Lotan, Jennifer Miller, Tenet, Derek Lam, and Zadig and Voltaire, and jewelry will be 25 percent off at Unsubscribed. Room and Board will offer cookies and chocolate for shoppers, there will be beverages and chocolates for shoppers at Diptyque and Rag and Bone. At BookHampton, every purchase will come with a tote bag and a ticket for a gift card raffle, and at Oliver Peoples every purchase will include a gift.
Guild Hall will take 10 percent off purchases at Louise and Howie’s Coffee Bar in its lobby from noon to 5 p.m., the Baker House 1650 will offer a 14-percent discount, and Tutto Cafe will have Valentine’s Day cookie boxes for $20. Also set to participate in the promotion as of Monday were Optyx, LuluLemon, Bonne Nuit, White’s Apothecary, Aviator Nation, and Gucci.
