P.B.A. Endorses Lee Zeldin

Wed, 09/14/2022 - 17:40

The Southampton Town Patrolman’s Benevolent Association has endorsed Representative Lee Zeldin’s campaign for governor of New York. Mr. Zeldin, the Republican and Conservative Party candidate, is challenging Gov. Kathy Hochul in the Nov. 8 election.

“We recognize Congressman Zeldin’s longstanding commitment to law enforcement and labor throughout his career,” Erik Breitwieser, the P.B.A.’s president, said in a statement issued by Mr. Zeldin’s campaign. “As calls for ‘defund the police’ grew loud across the country and New York State your unwavering support for the men and women in uniform was felt strongly as you stood against this notion. Lee Zeldin’s leadership as governor of New York State will help change the dangerous legislation that has been passed and has put so many residents in danger.”

Mr. Zeldin has received 25 labor endorsements for his campaign.
