Padma Lakshmi at Guild Hall
Guild Hall's "Stirring the Pot" series of culinary conversations will open its 15th year with Padma Lakshmi, an Emmy-nominated producer, creator and host of CBS's "Culinary Cup," author, and one of Time magazine's 100 Most Influential People, on Sunday morning at 11.
Lakshmi will join Florence Fabricant, the New York Times food critic and food writer, to discuss her 2025 book "Padma's All American: Tales, Travels, and Recipes From 'Taste the Nation' and Beyond."
A continental breakfast provided by Citarella will precede the talk, and a book signing will follow in the lobby. Tickets are $51.
Miracle on Main Street
Miracle, a new restaurant from Michael Nolan, a Sag Harbor native and co-founder of Fresno restaurant in East Hampton and Miracle Bar and Grill in New York City, is now open at 29 Main Street in Sag Harbor, the former home of Vin Sur Vingt.
Among the appetizers on the dinner menu are salmon tartare, cilantro-lime hummus, mussels, surf and turf, and Caesar salad. Main courses include truffle-potato gnocchi, seared sea scallops, striped bass, grilled Duroc pork tomahawk, and pan-roasted duck breast.
The lunch menu, available Monday, Thursday, and Friday, includes orecchiette, soft-shell crab B.L.T., prosciutto panini, and chicken fingers. Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday, with options including grilled calamari salad, crab avocado toast, truffle frittata, duck hash, French toast, lobster roll, and that soft-shell crab B.L.T.
Miracle serves dinner Wednesday through Sunday.
The 19th Hole
Thursday and Friday, in conjunction with the U.S. Open, La Goulue Sur Mer in Southampton is offering a Par 19 menu, featuring 19 items for $19 each. The offerings include haricots verts salad, a dozen oysters, jumbo shrimp cocktail, crab poppers, and chef specials. The restaurant also promises a few surprise cocktails created especially for U.S. Open week.
