Restaurant Openings
The Lobster Roll in Amagansett, also known as Lunch, will open for the season Friday and operate Thursday through Monday beginning at 11:45 a.m. until mid-June, when it will open seven days a week. Among the menu options are New England clam chowder, seafood nachos, steamers and broth, fried calamari, popcorn shrimp, tuna steak, crab cakes, and, need we say it, a classic lobster salad roll.
Navy Beach in Montauk will also open Friday, at 5 p.m. Until mid-May it will be open Fridays at 5 and weekends at noon. The dinner menu will include some new items, among them warm snow crab hand rolls; grilled flatbread with whipped ricotta, oven-roasted tomatoes, pickled red onions, toasted garlic, and herbs; Peruvian shrimp ceviche, and yellowfin tuna poke.
Bostwick's on the Harbor will reopen next Thursday. Hours will be 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursdays and Sundays and 5 to 10 on Fridays and Saturdays, through mid-June. Menu offerings will include fish tacos, pistachio-crusted oysters, calamari, Mongolian barbecue ribs, broiled fluke, sesame-seared yellowfin tuna, and seafood pasta. Happy hour will begin next Thursday with $6 draft beers, $12 select house wines, and $14 specialty cocktails. The restaurant does not take reservations.
Better Rosé
Just in time for warmer weather, the next wine class at East Hampton's Park Place Wines and Liquors, set for next Thursday at 6 p.m., is "The Rosé Upgrade You Didn't Know You Needed." Instead of the "big-name bottles everyone swears by," the class will replace them with a diverse lineup of less familiar bottles that overdeliver.
Tickets are $45 and nonrefundable.
Ciao, Estia's
After nearly 30 years on the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, Estia's Little Kitchen has closed for good following the sale of the property. The restaurant's last day of service was Saturday.
