The James Beard Award-winning Carissa’s Bakery in East Hampton is teaming up with the luxury fashion brand Kith to offer limited-time cereal-infused Kith Treats ice cream, available at Carissa’s Newtown Lane location through Sept. 2.

Ronnie Fieg, the founder, C.E.O., and creative director of Kith and Kith Treats, began the partnership because Carissa’s is not only his favorite bakery on the East End, but his favorite anywhere, a representative from Kith Treats said last week.

“Through this admiration, he felt compelled to spotlight and honor the bakery by collaborating on the limited-edition menu through his own confectionery,” said the representative. “At Kith Treats, we love Carissa’s commitment to quality, locally grown ingredients that support fair trade farming — which shines through in their decadent and incredibly wholesome recipes.”

Carissa’s Bakery is offering four ice cream combinations made with Kith Treat’s own swirling ice cream machine. For nut lovers, the hazelnut croissant has a base of vanilla ice cream infused with Carissa’s croissants and Kariot hazelnut cream cereal, and topped with Nutella drizzle and crushed hazelnuts. For a cinnamon twist, there’s Monkey Bread, which combines vanilla ice cream with Carissa’s monkey bread, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, and Cocoa Pebbles, and adds Carissa’s salted caramel drizzle and cinnamon sugar.

The first of two chocolate options, the Bouchon, blends vanilla and chocolate ice cream with Carissa’s chocolate bouchon and Chocolate Cake Crunch, drizzled with chocolate and Cocoa Puffs. Finally, the chocolate chip miso cookie ice cream sandwich is a hand-held option with a caramel twist.

“We’ve gotten a lot of positive feedback so far,” said the Kith representative. “Fans of Carissa’s are excited to try the bakery’s signature pastries in a new format, and people always love to scope out unexpected collaborations.”

While a fashion brand and a bakery seem like unusual companions, the Carissa’s Bakery partnership is not the first of its kind for Kith, which regularly partners with other culinary entities, from name brands like Fruity Pebbles to legacy food businesses like Veniero’s, a New York City pastry shop.
