Despite the flu circulating at Montauk School — one first grade class had just four of its usual 16 students on Jan. 9 — the Robert Fisher Scholarship Pasta Supper at the Montauk Firehouse on Friday was a success.

The dinner raised $3,140, just $360 shy of its goal. Backing out $1,000 in food costs, the evening contributed $2,140 to the Fisher Scholarship.

Montauk Girl Scout Troop 223 helped set up for the dinner, a pasta buffet with salad and ice cream for dessert.

Anyone interested in supporting the scholarship — $2,500, which goes to a Montauk School alumnus upon graduation from East Hampton High School — can send a check to

Montauk School, 50 South Dorset Drive, 11954, and put “Robert Fisher” in the memo.
