In honor of School Board Recognition Week, which starts on Monday, all three schools in the East Hampton School District made special presentations at the board meeting on Tuesday.

Several fourth graders from the John M. Marshall Elementary School attended to thank the board for their service, and elementary students also made a colorful paper chain with messages to remind the board of all the lives they positively impact.

The Bonnettes, East Hampton Middle School’s all-girl after-school singing group, serenaded the board with “The Star-Spangled Banner” and “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

The high school’s culinary and hospitality program prepared dinner for the board -- an Italian feast in which no clove of garlic was spared, along with homemade focaccia and tiramisu. Seniors in the school wellness program also took the board self-care packages.
