About Conscious Parenting

Thu, 10/29/2026 - 07:15

Shefali Tsabary, a clinical psychologist, conscious-parenting expert, and author known as Dr. Shefali, will be at the Ross School on Tuesday for a talk on “parenting, technology, emotional resilience, and raising confident children,” according to the school. The talk is from 10:45 a.m. to noon and open to the public. The cost is $25.

Dr. Shefali’s work “blends Western psychology with Eastern philosophy to explore self-awareness, connection, and the inner lives of children,” the announcement says. She will draw on two of her books: “Raising Conscious Sons” and “Raising Conscious Daughters.” Shirley Ramos Roseman, a Ross parent and author who was trained as a conscious-parenting coach by Dr. Shefali, will moderate the conversation.

It will be held in the Senior Building lecture hall on Goodfriend Drive. All who attend will get copies of the two books Dr. Shefali will reference, thanks to Ms. Ramos Roseman, Rachel Rey, and Sandra Oliveira Papp.

Tickets can be bought at ross.org by clicking “Ross Speaker Series” under the “About” dropdown menu.
