Dragon Wagon Sale

Dragon Wagon Books, a community nonprofit comic and manga shop run by Andy Piver, an artist, will hold a fund-raiser and book sale on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. in Springs. Dragon Wagon, which just received its official nonprofit status, has already been connecting with young people at sites across the East End in its 1993 Toyota Dyna library truck.

Proceeds from the party on Saturday, which is open to all ages, will support the nonprofit’s operating budget and its arts and literacy programs. Tickets cost $20 for adults, $10 for children, and will include light bites. The exact location of the fund-raiser will be provided upon purchase of a ticket, which can be done at bit.ly/3HOzB6M.

Fabulous Fund-Raiser

Our Fabulous Variety Show, another nonprofit that supports creative young people, has a fund-raiser planned for Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Moby’s in East Hampton. The dance and performing arts group will celebrate its two graduating seniors, Jadiel Rodriguez and Ryan Darrell, both East Hampton High School students, and there will be raffles and auctions. Tickets cost $50 in advance at ofvs.org, or $65 at the door; student tickets are $30 and $40. V.I.P. tickets, at $90 apiece, include gift bags and other perks.

Teen Fashion Show

A teen fashion show at Guild Hall on Wednesday will highlight sustainable original designs made from repurposed and upcycled materials. The ensembles grew out of a collaboration between the Guild Hall Teen Arts Council and the East Hampton Ladies Village Improvement Society in which the students transformed “secondhand clothing and fashion waste into visionary, wearable art,” according to a release.

Teen designers selected clothing from the L.V.I.S. thrift shop and then reimagined it “to create entirely new looks that challenge the boundaries of fashion.” The show is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Admission is free but registration has been requested at guildhall.org.
