When twinkling Christmas lights brighten Ashawagh Hall and the holiday spirit fills the air, excitement will become real for this year’s Lights of Love festival, which is being held on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The Springs School chorus, directed by Dylan Greene, will be caroling that afternoon. A standout of this event is the opportunity to buy lights for the tree in honor of loved ones who have passed away. Lights dedications cost $5 each; the money raised will be put toward a fund for maintaining community buildings in the historic heart of Springs, including Ashawagh Hall, the Springs Community Church, and the Parsons House.

The money also goes toward scholarships for students graduating from Springs School in 2026. “I’m working together with a team of five other people, and we are planning and organizing the food and drinks,” Mr. Greene said. People involved in Ashawagh Hall have joined in the planning. The PTA is donating hot cocoa and selling swag such as sweatshirts.

“I hope everyone in our school community will come and enjoy the festivities because it’s always nice to bring everyone together,” he said.
